  • Take back control of your data with OpenPGP security keys

Foopgp is an organization that promotes and facilitates the use of solutions based on OpenPGP .

To this end, we have selected and developed tools that we have integrated into a Debian assembly (Debian Blends) called Djibian .

This workshop will allow you to discover our strategy for countering certain contemporary dystopias and to get hands-on with one of the solutions that helps you regain control over your data—data that otherwise shapes our lives today.

    Workshop objectives

Starting from a freshly installed Djibian GNU/Linux system, we will:

    • Create a digital OpenPGP identity
    • Configure an OpenPGP security key (e.g. YubiKey) onto which this identity will be transferred
    • Use this key to:
      • Authenticate on the Djibian system as well as on various services (SSH, Git)
      • Sign documents and emails
      • Encrypt and decrypt documents and emails
      • Verify the signature of documents or emails
    • Bonus: carry out a transaction in djis (Ɉ)
